R&D

A deep synergy between Cybersecurity and Smart Cities departments, with a strong empowerment of the R&D team and academic partners, has brought to the realization of several projects to secure critical infrastructures.

HORUS(HOmeland Real time Urban Security)

HORUS is an integrated and active surveillance system able to secure urban areas and critical infrastructures for the Homeland Security market.

HORUS has been designed to extend and strengthen the capabilities of standard video surveillance systems, providing an integrated and comprehensive solution aimed at effectively analyzing and gaining high-level understanding from digital images, videos and environmental sensors.

HORUS supports decision-making of security managers and operators in order to identify and analyze potential threats and alarms in order to eventually prevent damages or crimes against people and buildings.

HORUS is an Open framework able to integrate several devices and technologies in a fully integrated and effective solution.

Cyber Angel

Almost every day a large amount of malwares floods the network increasing a serious risk to the IT security of many organizations.

The speed of binary code mutation associated with them (polymorphic malwares) and an ever increasing spread of malwares that do not reside on files (file less malware), has pushed Donexit to develop a system that is not limited to the mere determination of the identity of the malevolent code but deals with determining and consequently detecting the so-called indices of impairment (IOC) of an infrastructure or network.

The system devised by Donexit is able to detect on the machines under observation an “anomalous behaviour” (or a combination of them) and consequently identify the presence and origin of a possible cyber-attack.The constant increase of the knowledge base from which to draw the information for the detection and classification of the Malware allows to increase the number of the IOC used for the analyses.

VulScan

VulScan is a system able to perform an analysis of known software vulnerabilities to which an information system can be exposed owing to the use of third-party or open source software.

The analysis is performed by querying a database, constantly updated by international organizations such as MITRE Corporation and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), which stores known software vulnerabilities and the corresponding security patches that must be applied.

VulScan provides an effective support tool for the constant monitoring and updating of the security level of the products installed on an infrastructure the machines under observation, significantly reducing the sources of vulnerability deriving from incorrect management of security patches.

PYN

PYN is a proprietary secure communication solution for smartphones and tablets, entirely developed in Italy. It consists of a software agent for iOS and Android mobile devices and a virtual appliance, PYN server.PYN allows users to communicate securely over a mobile network and WiFi. Communications include voice calls and text messages, encrypted with non-exportable or repeatable keys. Each user network has its own PYN server, no third party can access and know the printout information nor the content of telephone conversations that are encrypted end-to-end.The PYN technology is able to create a real secure, confidential and autonomous telephone network to protect sensitive and strategic information.
